1926 - Ottavio Bottecchia starts manufacturing racing bikes based on his winning Tour de France knowledge in conjunction with Teodoro Carnielli.
1930 - The Carnielli family takes the business forward and makes Bottecchia a household bike brand name in Europe, exporting to the US with great success. Bottecchia has many cycling wins and invests heavily in technology.
1973 - Produces the worlds first folding bike, which was very successful in Europe.
1997 - Bottecchia acquired by the Turato family who have had two generations of history in bike manufacture. (Cicli Esperia)
2006 - Bottecchia sells over 50,000 bikes throughout Europe and looks to expand outside of Europe considering the US, Asia and the Pacific.
2006 - Bottecchia appoints exclusive distributors in Australia and New Zealand.
